Frequently Asked Questions

Why only young Black writers?

It’s simple. Young Lit Stars was founded by a Black family passionate about Black stories and ensuring that young Black voices get to tell those stories.

What has changed since COVID-19?

Since the first UK lockdown in 2020, all our writer workshops have moved online via Zoom, which we’ve found to be a blessing as we are now able extend our services to young people from all over the UK and not just London.

We’ve also added a workshop specifically for the many parents now embarking on a new Home Schooling adventure. We help with curriculum content, accredited assessments and even advise on putting together a school timetable - helping you support your children to be successful.
